1. 1.The life of a war photographer is really hard because they are in the way of danger at all times. Durring a war, right in the middle, and dealing with death and diseses. For him it is worth it because he gets to tell the real story and show the rest of the world the facts.
2. Nachtwey seems to focus on the greiving of the family members of the recently deciesed. It seems as if he likes to show the effects it is taking on the families of the people in the wars going on around the world.
2.I would like to take a portrait of another person but i have not yet decided on who.

2. Briefly describe the photo. What is the CVI? Is it a formal portrait, an informal portrait, or something else?
This photo is of a woman dressed up very well and has a big hat. She is standing infront of a house and it seems like it is her husband standing in the background. The woman. This seems like a formal picture but she is not looking at the camera.
3. Form- What are the major composition techniques used in this photo, and how are they used?
The rule of thirds is used, the angle is at 3/4 and leading lines.
4. Content - What are the eye positions, and how does this affect the photo? Describe the lighting.
The eyes of the woman are looking away from the camera but the eyes of the man are looking at the camera. With the woman looking away you since that something is going on or that she is thinking intently. The lighting seems like normal sunlight, as if it were a sunny day.
5. Expression- What is happening in this photo that makes this moment "decisive?"
She is thinking heavily about what that day is and what all is going on.
6. Read the caption, and explain one thing that is interesting about the person / scene.
It says in the caption that it is Easter Sunday and you kind of tell by the big hat that she is wearing and why they are dressed so formally.

1. What is the difference between a Formal, informal, environmental portrait?
Formal is posed and stiff.
Informal is relaxed and not obviously posed.
Environmental is the person in their natural habitat, where they normal are on a daily basis.
2. What do the eyes tell us?
The eyes tell if they are thinking deeply or if they are in a position where the are just looking simply at the camera lens.
3. What does the background and body position tell us?
The background tells where they are and the body position tells if they are relaxed or kind of uptight.
4. How does the lighting affect the shot?
The lighting can show off the face or hide the face.
